Buick Logo

SUVs with a coupe-like style are becoming increasingly popular, and one new Buick SUV, the 2024 Buick Envista, will take the form to the next level. Already available in China, there is little information about how the American model will differ from its overseas counterpart, but what we know should be very exciting to any drivers who love the style of a coupe and the size and comfort of an SUV.Power

The Chinese model of the Buick Envista is built around a 181-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine connected to an automatic transmission. It is still unknown whether Buick will keep the same powertrain when the SUV is brought over to America, but it has been suggested that Buick may use the more powerful 228-horsepower 2.0-liter engine featured in the 2023 Buick Envision.Technology

The cabin of the Buick Envista is built around two 10.3-inch touchscreens: one serves as a digital instrument cluster, and one is a touchscreen for access to services like smartphone mirroring, navigation, and your favorite applications. Some pictures indicate a third screen for controlling the interior’s climate.Connectivity makes it easy to play your favorite audio content through your car’s sound system, and it will sound better than ever with the Tune Melody® 3D surround sound system, which fills the cabin with a depth of sound and spatiality. As the release date draws closer, we’ll know more about features and which will be standard or optional. There are still several mysteries about what the American version of the 2024 Buick Envista will look like, but it’s already clear that it will offer a confident, roomy drive. While we’re waiting, come and test drive any of our vehicles at Nick Abraham Buick GMC, your local Buick dealership, or pre-order your Buick Envista today!

financing

The Buick financing process may seem confusing to some drivers, but it’s easier than you may think. One challenge is choosing between leasing a vehicle or buying it outright with financing. Both options have merit in certain situations, but it can be difficult to determine which is best for you. To help you figure this out, here are some pointers:LeasingYour first option is to lease a Buick or GMC vehicle. Leasing is a great way for drivers to drive the car they want without breaking the bank, as vehicles that may otherwise be out of the price range are much more affordable when leased. Plus, after your lease term is over, you get to trade your vehicle in for the brand-new model of your choice.By leasing you’re allowed to drive the vehicle, but not customize it or make it truly your own. At the end of the leasing period, you must return it to us and either sign a new lease, buy it outright, or walk away. If you’re looking to assume less financial risk in this transaction, leasing is the option for you.FinancingOn the other hand, financing your vehicle paves the way for a long-term commitment. By choosing this option, you’re ready and willing to assume the financial risk of a loan and are prepared for the slightly higher monthly payments than if you were to lease the same vehicle.Financing a vehicle has a more involved application process, as the lender must ensure that you can pay off the loan before providing one. Take your time and assemble every possible document or piece of paperwork before applying to give yourself an advantage, and our finance pros will do the rest. Plus, when you finance to own your vehicle, you can customize it as you see fit, so be sure to really make the vehicle your own! After considering which option works best for you, it’s time to get behind the wheel. Make your way down to Nick Abraham Buick GMC today to check out the selection of vehicles available for leasing or financing.

gas gauge

Your vehicle may seem like a gift that keeps on giving, but that well of smooth rides will eventually dry up on you if you don’t return the favor. When you take the time to care for your vehicle, it can repay you handsomely. Did you know that regular Buick service can not only save you on future vehicle repairs, but it can also help you save on gas as well? Here are a few ways routine Buick service can save you gas money.Tire Service

Not only can tire service save you from premature tire wear, but it can also improve your vehicle’s MPG on the road. Regular tire inspections and rotations are recommended to ensure your tires are at the proper pressure. Over or underinflated tires demand a lot more work from your vehicle’s engine, meaning more gas is consumed to compensate.Sensor Checks

Your engine utilizes several different sensors to monitor and control the flow of fuel from the tank to the engine. These sensors include an airflow sensor and an oxygen sensor, which control the combustion rate of the fuel. If these sensors fail, it can cause your vehicle to unnecessarily consume more fuel, so checking them is a must-do task.Oil & Filter Change

With so many moving parts under the hood, your vehicle’s engine requires a certain level of lubrication to run smoothly. If your vehicle’s oil becomes oil and used, it cannot prevent parts from grinding against one another. Not only can this cause engine damage, but it also increases your vehicle’s fuel demands as well.Has your Buick been consuming more gas than usual lately? Could your vehicle be overdue for one of the listed maintenance services? One quick service could be all it takes to help you save money at the pump. Schedule your visit to the Nick Abraham Buick GMC service center today to help get your fuel consumption back on track.

buick encore

Choosing an SUV can feel like a big task to tackle, especially in a market where automakers seem to be adding more and more options to crossover segments every single year. Here at Nick Abraham Buick GMC, one of our most beloved and best-selling crossovers is the Buick Encore, but we’re aware that it lives in a segment with plenty of stiff competition. One such vehicle is the Chevy Equinox, another excellent crossover. Which is the best of the two? As your friendly neighborhood Buick dealership, we have our thoughts, but we thought we’d spell out why in a few key categories.

Why Customers Choose the Buick Encore

There are a few reasons why we’d recommend the Buick Encore over the Chevy Equinox, including:

1. Exterior Styling – The Buick Encore features a more athletic stance and attractive front fascia, giving it an edge in exterior styling.

2. All-Wheel Drive Options – The Buick Encore offers all-wheel drive as an option on all models, where the Chevy Equinox only offers it on their top trim level. Also, AWD on the Buick Encore can be deactivated for improved fuel-efficiency—a feature that isn’t available on the Chevy Equinox.

3. Interior Quality – The Buick Encore features premium leather seats and a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, while the Chevy Equinox doesn’t offer a heated steering wheel.

4. Warranty – The Buick Encore comes with a four-year/50,000-mile limited warranty and a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty, while the Chevy Equinox offers a three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty and five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.

Test-Driving a Buick Encore

If you want to see for yourself how these vehicles stack up, the best thing you can do is test-drive each of them. Of course, we think you’ll find that the Buick crossover is the best option, but you’ll only learn that for yourself if you take one for a spin!

Buick Enclave

Buick models are known for their great ride quality and comfortable interiors. They are also designed to help keep you and your passengers safe. The Buick Enclave, for example, has many standard and available safety features, such as:

A Rearview Camera

Do you get nervous having to go in reverse? If you live in a neighborhood with a lot of kids or people riding bikes, you have to be extremely careful when backing up. Thanks to the rearview camera in the Buick Enclave, you will always have a very clear picture of everything behind you so you can drive more confidently.

Rear Parking Sensors

Parking is something else that can cause a lot of consternation, especially when backing into a spot or parallel parking. With the rear parking sensors on your car, you will know if you’re getting too close to another object, thanks to an audible alert.

Blind-Spot Monitoring

For great peace of mind when driving on multi-lane roads, available blind spot monitoring will keep track of any vehicle in the spots you can’t see with your mirrors. If you attempt to change lanes when you shouldn’t, you will get an alert.

Forward-Collision Warning

Also an optional feature, forward collision warning scans the road in front of you. If the system detects a collision, you will get a warning. And, if you don’t react in time, the brakes will be applied automatically.

Lane-Keep Assist

While it’s always important to keep your eyes on the road, your Buick Enclave will act like an extra set. If you drift inadvertently, you will get an alert and you will be guided you back into your lane thanks to this available feature.

To learn more about how these safety features work, come down to Nick Abraham Buick GMC near Elyria to take the Buick Enclave out for a test drive.

gmc acadia

Has your choice of mid-size SUV come down to the GMC Acadia or Honda Pilot? Well, you’re in luck, because we’re comparing these two models in three categories:

Off-Roading

One of the very nice things about the GMC Acadia is that in addition to performing beautifully on pavement, it also has very nice off-roading ability. If you go with the AT4 trim, you will get a 3.6-liter V6 engine that pumps out 310 horsepower. In addition, it comes with an off-road-tuned all-wheel drive system, as well as hill descent control. The Honda Pilot has no off-roading capabilities.

Tech

No matter where you go, the GMC Acadia will keep you connected and entertained throughout the journey. Every model comes with a very user-friendly infotainment system with an eight-inch touchscreen, as well as USB ports, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®. You will also get satellite radio, a six-speaker stereo, and Bluetooth®. Upgrades include navigation, a rear-seat entertainment system, HD radio, and wireless device charging. The tech features in the Honda Pilot are severely lacking, as it doesn’t come with a touchscreen, smartphone connectivity, or satellite radio.

Safety

You’ll get several built-in safety components in the GMC Acadia. These include rear parking sensors, lane change alert, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, and a rearview camera. The Teen Driver System is also included, and this lets you keep tabs on the habits of young drivers, as well as put restrictions on speed limits and stereo volume. Parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring aren’t standard features with the Honda Pilot and require an upgrade.

Ready to crown the GMC Acadia the winner? You can do that by coming down to Nick Abraham Buick GMC in Elyria.
